Bridging the Gap

Providing information in Stoke on Trent for young people to access the relevant mental health services.

We felt that there wasn’t enough information in Stoke on Trent for young people to access the relevant mental health services at the most appropriate time.

It's important to realise that mental health is an issue that effects many of us in over very day lives. It's also important to realise that said illnesses are not just going to subside or become part of our daily routine, and nor should they be. By embracing the matter and talking about mental health, thus beginning to make it a 'socially acceptable topic' as it is often felt it is. This, we hope, will empower others to seek help through the appropriate services to assist individuals in dealing with their illness.

The Why

Often young people have to go through a 3rd party i.e teacher support at school, GP etc; rather than receiving direct help, and fast.

The What

What this campaign wanted to do was raise awareness about the current services in the city so that the young people can have direct access to these services.

The How

So we set up a Facebook page and started sharing information, not only to sign post young people in need to where they needed to go, but also let them know they are not alone.
