Integrating refugees into their communities through volunteering.

We aim to help refugees gain work experience, boost their job prospects and integrate them into the community by supporting them into voluntary roles.

I know how people feel about their lives back home in Syria. They felt productive and integrated into society there but here they're lost. They have skills and potential but there are barriers. A lot of organisations are here to help but refugees are often missing out on social interaction with locals and don't have any job references, so they wait years before they're able to find employment. Volunteering can combat this. There is no volunteering culture in Syria but here it's easily available. Our project is to create the link between lost refugees and charities in need of volunteers to vreate a mutually beneficial system.
